H2B Placements in USA
INTRODUCTION: The H2B Visa Program is designed for seasonal non agricultural non
immigrant workers who are genuinely interested in working in temporary employment
which is seasonal, intermittent and is a onetime occurrence in the USA
for a period not exceeding 12 months. H2B workers, by law, are only permitted to work for the certified employer who filed a petition for their services with Immigration and Naturalization Service. They are not permitted to work for any other employer during their stay in the US. This way the American business gains qualified and dedicated employees during peak times. Employees may remain in the U.S. for up to 12 months, during temporary, high work volume periods. The participants gain an insight into American business while making a modest wage.
PLACEMENT DETAILS: Type of job
We are looking to place each of you in a job or position based upon
your interest and skills. Although we try to honor your request, you must be
flexible about the job you can be doing. The following are the examples of
industries and positions which currently use the Program to meet some or all
of their seasonal labor needs: Dishwasher, Housekeeper, Laundry attendant,
Seafood processor, National park worker, Cafeteria worker, Landscaping laborer, Bus person, Fast food worker, etc.
Job location
We have a certain number of jobs in many locations around the
country. However, it is very important that you are flexible and
open-minded about the options available. You should also be aware that some
locations are a lot colder or hotter and more humid than the climate you
experience at home.
Pay
You will be paid in accordance with the rate of pay for an American
full-time employee in the same position.Pay may vary depending on the
participants' state and county. Generally you can expect to receive at
least the federal minimum wage which is $5.15 per hour in a non-tipped
position. For tipped positions it is $2.13. However the wages vary from employer
to employer.
Most of the time, you will receive your pay once every two weeks. Your
company should give you a statement with your check which will explain
which taxes are being deducted from your check. You will see for taxes as well as
for uniform and housing depending on your agreement with your company.
Before you leave the USA, we may provide you with the necessary forms
in order to receive your tax refund from the USA government at the end of
the year.
You must bring enough money to the U.S. to cover food and other
personal expenses for a period of up to three weeks (until first paycheck
comes). It is advisable that you bring around $600-700 USD.
Duration of employment/work commitment
The H2B Visa Program allows you to work and stay in the U.S. for
different length of time. This depends on the direct need of the employer. The
maximum duration of an H2B visa is 12 months. As a participant on H2B you must
be available to work for the entire duration of the Program stated in Job
Description Document. This Program can start at any time during the
year. The dates of availability are determined by the employers' need.
ACCOMMODATION DETAILS:
Housing and Meal
We ask the employer for assistance in locating suitable housing and/or
setting up permanent furnished apartments for the amount of time the
workers will be in the United States. Sometimes you will be expected to find your
accommodation on your own. The most commonly used source for researching
available rental options in the U.S. is the local newspapers and "roommate
finder" services. Average cost of housing ranges between $75 and $125
per week. You are expected to pay for your own deposit and rent.
You will usually responsible for buying and preparing your own food,
although in some cases your employer may provide your meals. Depending
on your preferences, you will be spending $ 100-200 per month on food.
Placement with Friends
Many participants are interested in sharing the work experience with friends
or a family member. If you would like to be placed with someone else:
*You must all qualify for the positions they are requesting,
*We need to get the request in the timely manner,
*You must arrive to U.S. together.
Although we will do our best,
we cannot guarantee your placement
together as that depends entirely on the employers need.

*Filing of the petition with Department of Labor and Homeland Security for H2B visas.

PLEASE NOTE, THAT MINIMUM QUANTITY OF THE APPLICANTS APPLYING TOGETHER IS
25. IN CASE THE QUANTITY IS LESS THAN 25 - THERE WILL BE AN ADDITIONAL FEE
OF $5,000 FOR THE GROUP, AND $8000 IF APPLICANTS ARE LESS THAN 12.
WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE FEE:
*Consulting fee as agent.
*Round trip flight.
*Transportation to the employer.
*Any living expenses including rent, utilities, furnishings, meals,
etc.
*Any applicable visa application fees at the U.S. Embassy.
*Health and accident insurance
ELIGIBILITY:
- You need to be able to speak, read and understand English.
- You need to be able to understand and speak English, face-to-face and on
the phone. This means you will be able to follow instructions from us
and the employer. You are able to understand and communicate with native
English speakers.
- You need to be able to work for the entire period of
employment.
- If your dates of availability do not correspond with those on the Job
Description Document, then you are not eligible to apply for that particular
job.
- You need to be mature and independent.
- You must be able to succeed on your own in the U.S., solve problems with
your co-workers and supervisors, and travel independently. Sometimes you
will have to handle stressful situations, show courage, initiative and
maturity.
- There should be no pre-existing health conditions that would preclude
certain work.
- Age 22 to 36
Most jobs available on the H2B Program involve physical labor, often
times outdoors or in hot or cold environments, or at high altitudes. You have
to be physically capable of performing the duties required in their job. You
should inform us of any pre-existing back conditions, mobility problems,
weaknesses due to conditions or illnesses, lung or respiratory problems,
allergies, sensitivities to the climate/ conditions in which you will be
performing your job. If you have accepted placements for which you were
physically unable to keep up with the work due to weaknesses or pre-existing
illnesses you will be dismissed from the Program.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: To ensure that your application is processed efficiently and quickly, please
supply accurate and relevant information and documents stated below.
The full process takes about 121 days (4 months) from date when application
submitted to the date when US sponsorship documents arrive at the Our
Office.

All documents must be legible, especially all the dates on the documents.
Faxed documents will not be accepted. All documents must be mailed. If any
false documents or misleading documents are given by the applicant or
partner organization, there will be no refund.
Please note, that later you may be requested to file some additional papers.
HOW TO APPLY FOR A PROGRAM:
Stage 1
Read the Program description so that you understand what we have to
offer. Fill out an application form carefully. Incomplete forms will not be
accepted. Submit it together with all other required documents.
Stage 2
Upon acceptance for the Program, we will issue an invoice for USD 600
booking fee in your name. Submit all documents and make the payment, so that
an interview can be arranged.
Stage 3
Your application will be forwarded to appropriate employers for their
review. Once the final placement decision is made we will issue an
invoice for the final payment of USD 1000 program fee.
Stage 4
When payment is made, H2B petition to the US Citizenship and Immigration
Services will submit for review. Once the decision has been made, I-797 form
will be issued which is necessary to apply for H2B visa in your home country.
Stage 5
You will have 30-60 days to get your visa and prepare for the departure. You
need to attend the orientation in your home country during which you will be
advised on what to do once you are in the USA (for example, how to apply for
a social security number).

USEFUL INFORMATION: Make two copies of your documents before leaving your country. Leave
one copy in your country just in case you need these documents at later dates
and your current documents are lost or stolen.
Make sure you bring one document that is at least one year old (i.e. birth
certificate, driving license). It is required of you at the time that you
will apply for your social security number.
Ask questions to your home country agent before leaving for the USA. The
more prepared you are the more questions you have answers to. The smoother
the transition will be for you.
Follow all local and federal laws while working in the USA. The legal
drinking age is 21 years old. Underage drinking and drinking in public
places are both illegal. A few other illegal acts in the United States are:
destruction of property theft drug possession of any kind, disorderly
conduct.
It is important to honor the Terms and Conditions of the Program that you
have signed. You must return home at the end of your stay in the USA.
